Our Program

Hello Friends prioritizes evidence-based best practice in our program. We partner with the best to create positive outcomes for our students and their families. We are proud to be collaborating with the following Early Childhood Education resources in our program

Individualized Learning

Our approach begins with observation. We use tools such as the High Scope COR Advantage and the Ages and Stages Questionnaire to collect base-line data on each child’s development.

Each teacher uses this data to inform each week’s learning experiences. Each learning experience in the classroom is stemmed from supporting one of the individuals in our program with a goal they are working towards.

Family Partnership

At the center of Early Childhood Education is the relationship between the caregiver and the child. In order to foster this relationship, we are passionate about connecting with families. We know that research supports positive outcomes for children when caregiver and parents are in positive partnership

This approach advocates for not only building a relationship of trust and connection with the children in our care, but families as well. We love partnering with families who are invested in this relationship-based approach to the highly personal work of Early Childhood Education.

We host family conferences twice annually, in May and in November. This allows space for in-depth conversations about child development, progress, questions and collaboration.

Teacher Support

The Early Childhood Education field struggles with high-turnover rates for educators in this field. We are determined to do things differently to support this essential workforce.

Hello Friends supports our teaching team through higher wages, a professionally-structured schedule allowing time for daily prep and ongoing professional development for continuous support.

This professional development includes individual goal setting and coaching through the Pyramid Model with monthly observations and a goal setting meeting. Additionally, our program calendar supports professional development events three times per year for our team.

This relationship-driven work requires consistency is order to thrive. We are passionate about making it possible for teachers to have the stability needed to plant roots at our school.
